My Dearest,
Written many notes and letters over the years, and yet I still freeze up whenever I'm met with the blank page (or in this case screen) into which I'm supposed to pour out all my love, telling you how much you mean to me and how badly I thank the forces for bringing you into my life.
Truth is - there really ain't enough paper (or in this case, blank screens) to do that job.
So for today I'll do two things.
I'll say thank you, and I'll say I love you.
Thank you for being by my side, for making me feel safe and cared for. For giving me solace and an unrelenting source of comfort in this uncertain, often whimsical and hard-hitting world. Thank you for thinking of me, for texting and calling me. Thank you for smiling when you pick up the phone, for being invested in my success, for staying up late to talk to me and for remembering (at least when you're awake) things about myself that even I don't. Thanks for making room for me in your heart.
And once again I love you, and I'm glad I get to celebrate that. I love how beautiful you are, in and out (but especially out) and how clever and motivated you are. I love how your heart's always in the right place, and how you care for people. You're a joy to experience, and I'm having a spectacular time.
I love you today, I'll love you tomorrow and I'll love you as long as you'll have me Nads. That much is true, and I know it without a shadow of a doubt.
